Much of Christianity today focuses on the more inspirational and immediately practical portions of Scripture. These may encourage the heart, but believers also need the spiritual backbone that comes from knowing sound doctrine and understanding the depth of God’s Word.
MasterTruth exists to help believers dig deeper. We study the Bible patiently, comparing Scripture with Scripture in order to discover its doctrine, prophecy, patterns, types, and the person of Jesus Christ woven throughout the Word of God.
A governed approach to God’s Word
We believe Scripture is meant to be studied carefully, with our interpretation governed by the key words God placed in the text.
We allow the words God placed in Scripture to govern our interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20 says, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” Therefore, we pay careful attention to key words, repeated words, connecting words, distinctions, and exact wording. These words establish boundaries for interpretation and keep us from forcing our own ideas into the text.
Rightly Divide
We pay attention to whom God is speaking, when He is speaking, and where a passage belongs in His plan in order to understand Scripture in its proper context.
Compare Scripture With Scripture
The Bible is its own best interpreter. We trace words, themes, prophecy, patterns, and types throughout Scripture in order to see how the pieces fit together.
Trust the King James Bible
We believe God has preserved His words. Contrary to the common claim, Bible versions do not all say the same thing. Where their words differ, they cannot all be the preserved words of God. MasterTruth therefore holds to the King James Bible as the preserved Word of God and our final authority.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture points to Jesus Christ through prophecy, patterns, types, promises, and the unfolding purpose of God.

We are Richmond and Jody Shee. For years, our greatest passion has been helping believers move beyond surface-level Bible reading in order to discover the doctrinal depth and spiritual riches of God’s Word.
MasterTruth grew out of that desire. We want believers to understand what the Bible says, why it says it, where each passage belongs, and how Scripture fits together as one unfolding revelation of God’s purpose.
Our goal is simple: to be faithful to God’s Word and to help others grow strong through a deeper knowledge of Scripture.
Standing on the truth of Scripture
Our teaching grows out of convictions that shape how we understand the Bible, the church, and God’s unfolding plan.
The Godhead
We believe in one God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. We are non-charismatic and look to Scripture as our authority for faith and practice.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, God the Son, obeyed the Father, lived the righteous life we could not live, died for our sins, rose again the third day, and is seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us.
The Rapture
We believe Jesus Christ will return in the clouds to catch away His bride, the church, before the seven-year tribulation and take us to be with Him forever.
Hell
We believe hell is a literal place prepared for the devil and his angels, and the eternal destiny of those who reject Jesus Christ rather than receive Him as Saviour.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible was inspired by God and has been preserved as His infallible Word. Nothing is to be added to it or taken from it. MasterTruth holds to the King James Bible as the preserved Word of God.
The Local Church
We believe the local church is where believers function together as the Body of Christ. As each member faithfully does his or her part, the church displays Christ to the world.
Evangelism & Missions
We believe the gospel is a message to proclaim and support. Christians are called to share Jesus Christ with others and to help believers grow so they can faithfully teach others also.
Dispensations
We believe God has dealt with people in different ways throughout the ages according to His purpose for each dispensation. We are presently living in the dispensation of the grace of God.
God is not finished with Israel.
The church does not replace Israel. God has set Israel aside for a time during the present church age. After the church is caught away, He will resume His dealings with Israel leading to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of His promises.
